Cranes and other overhead equipment are often used in making and moving products. We use different overhead lifting systems to move steel I-beams and weigh modules in our factories.
We keep the lifting process safe and efficient. We use crane load cells to measure the tension in the wire ropes of the overhead equipment. Load cells fit well with current systems, offering a convenient and flexible choice. Installation is also very fast and requires very little equipment downtime.
We put a load cell on an overhead crane. This crane moves truck scale modules around the production facility. The load cell helps protect the crane from overload. Installation is easy. Just clip the load cell at the dead end of the wire rope. After we install the load cell, we calibrate it right away. This step ensures accurate measurements.

We use a transmitter to connect with our display. This display works with an audible alarm. The alarm warns the operator when the crane gets close to its maximum lifting capacity. “The remote display is green when the weight is safe. Our overhead crane has a capacity of 10,000 pounds. When the weight exceeds 9,000 pounds, the display will turn orange as a warning. If the weight goes over 9,500 pounds, the display turns red. An alarm will sound to alert the operator that they are near maximum capacity. The operator will stop their work to lighten the load. If they don’t, they might damage the overhead crane. We can connect a relay output to limit hoist functions during overloads. However, we don’t use this option in our application.
